In researching the Thomas family history during the 1970s and 1980s, Max discovered that besides oral history little was documented about the life of his ancestors other than dates of birth, marriage and death. As a gift to his descendants, he documented his own life. This volume covers the years 1932 to 1997 and was written in narrative form by Max over a few years – typing it on an old typewriter and pasting in photographs. The second volume, covering the remainder of Max’s life is a collection of his annual Christmas letters to family and friends.
